QUESTIONING GUY: ... I had to drive all the way out to Bumfuck, Egypt, to see the show last time around.
DON: I hear they make a lot of money in Bumfuck, Egypt.
QUESTIONING GUY: (Goes on for five minutes about Bill Plympton) ... and you did those Pop-Tarts commercials, right?
BILL: Um, no.
GUY: No, I mean, that guy! (points to Don)
DON: (Slams his head down onto the table. Waits a moment, gets back up.) No, I've never done any commercials. And I never will.
GUY: Well, you should sue them then!
DON: Well, that just seems like a square thing to do, to sue someone over that... but we're working on it.
QUESTIONING GUY: What do you, any of you, think of people not seeing animation as a viable art form?
DON: Whether people see it as one or not doesn't change that it is.
After the panel there was a brief, impromptu signing, upping my quota of things signed by Don to 2 (shoe, and Rejected shirt).
I've got a couple of photos that I'll be able to share with anyone who wants them in a couple of days. If anyone has questions about the panel, just leave a comment, and I'll remember as best as I can for you!
