greenboy I FINALLY got a chance to watch my "I Am So Proud Of You" DVD.

...I squeezed out a couple tears for Bill.

I've been also meaning to start a thread where fans show the community which strips of film they've gotten with their preorders. I would start things off, but it's late and I don't have any of my three photographed.

4:58 pm - Is Don Hertzfeldt being ripped off too?

stew_ped
Is Jamster ripping off Don with this:

Here's the link to the page selling it.

I was only wondering about Don's stuff because they stole my avatar. Blatantly. I was browsing through an issue of Game Informer magazine and I happened across a Jamster.com ad. You know, they charge you to text some number and they'll send you a wallpaper or screen saver or a joke. I usually pass over this stuff, but I just happened to look at the bottom right of the page.

Stolen avatar

Here's mine again.

It's been clearly ripped off by Jamster now. It's not the fact that it's my "avatar" that bugs me. It's my animation. I animated it. They stole it. I'm just wondering if I'm not the only one.

Hey, it's my annual "is this group dead?" post :)

Don posted new pictures this week from "Everything Will be OK" Chapter Two in his blog. He also quit the Animation Show and is rumored to be preparing a TV show! Lots of stuff going on. Does anyone have more Don-news they've heard, or reactions? Discuss!

Hey y'all. If you really want to be a consumer whore, you'll check out my new community thedailytube where I'll be posting short animations, cartoons, short indie film, and anything else that happens to catch my fancy one day at a damn time.

If anyone has any suggestions of things I should post please pass them along! I'm going to start with some of the shorts I caught at The Animation Show although I sadly havent been able to locate Don's newest "Everything Will Be Okay." Thanks in advance.

Don was at the Animation Show panel at the recent San Diego Comic Con, as some of you surely know, along with Rob, Bill Plympton, and Mike Judge. There was a 30-second preview of 'everything will be ok', which looked amazing, and a Q&A panel. I don't have it transcribed, but here are a couple of small highlights:

QUESTIONING GUY: ... I had to drive all the way out to Bumfuck, Egypt, to see the show last time around.
DON: I hear they make a lot of money in Bumfuck, Egypt.

QUESTIONING GUY: (Goes on for five minutes about Bill Plympton) ... and you did those Pop-Tarts commercials, right?
BILL: Um, no.
GUY: No, I mean, that guy! (points to Don)
DON: (Slams his head down onto the table. Waits a moment, gets back up.) No, I've never done any commercials. And I never will.
GUY: Well, you should sue them then!
DON: Well, that just seems like a square thing to do, to sue someone over that... but we're working on it.

QUESTIONING GUY: What do you, any of you, think of people not seeing animation as a viable art form?
DON: Whether people see it as one or not doesn't change that it is.
(Applause)

After the panel there was a brief, impromptu signing, upping my quota of things signed by Don to 2 (shoe, and Rejected shirt).

I've got a couple of photos that I'll be able to share with anyone who wants them in a couple of days. If anyone has questions about the panel, just leave a comment, and I'll remember as best as I can for you!

12:30 am - a thing that reminded me
kernando I just saw a TV ad for frosted mini wheats. It has a talking mini wheat with a face and limbs, and it reminded me of the little fluff ball guys. I like those guys. I tried to be one that Halloween, but got sick and didn't.
